FIELD STUDY 2- DAY 8: The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn...and change. - Carl Rogers
Good day, Diurna!
Today is our 8th day of duty, we are in our almost finish field study yet I thanked God and my CT for the experiences I had so far.
I woke up late today sad to say, so I then hurriedly did all my chores and ready myself so I won't be late. But, it did went the other way around. Later on, as I entered the room the students were greeted me with joy and respect in which I love about the Azalea students. I will miss them for sure.
As they start their first period class, ma'am Bigcas remind me that they will be having a reader's theater as part of their performance. With that, ma'am also asked me to rate them with their group. She handed me the rating sheet, and eventually they started performing. She also instructed me on what to do in rating them.
Every group performed with their best and originality in terms on how they presented themselves. Although, there were still students who cannot read thoroughly but they also did their best. The Azalea's performers were all great and did all their best especially the group of Mr. Pelipas in which they had their choreography as they presented themselves and most of their members read the passage correctly and fluently. They set the standard.
On the other hand, for the second period we went to section Catleya for their Reader's Theater also.
Some performed very poor, but I still gave them passing rate for them to pass through this activity. This goes also with section Begonia wherein I must say all of them really did their best and put efforts to their choreography and also most of them knows how to read and emphasize certain words or phrases. Hence, I gave them almost 95 rate.
Moreso, this also done with section Daffodil – the last period class for morning. They were all did well and performed well in their Reader's Theater. I took videos and pictures for today's blog as I rated them on how they presented themselves by group.
It's their first time performing such task in English and they presented themselves with efforts and confidence even during their practice up until their final performance.
As what ma'am Bigcas told them that, "The performance was lit for the first timer." She was flattered and thankful eventhough there were students who were not able to perform. However, many were able to perform and passed that given activity. Nonetheless, my day was productive and I am grateful for the experience that my CT gave me.
I will rest for tonight, Diurna. Goodnight!
