Good morning, Diurna!
I woke up early today, thank God. But Monday has its own way to make me hate the day, because earlier today our wifi connection has lost due to unpaid balance. I hurriedly paid it for the reconnection, in which I learned my lesson.
However, I hurriedly did my chores and ready myself to go to school. Not later that moment, I attended the flag ceremony and for almost an hour we went back to our respective section. As I arrived in the room, Azalea students welcomed me with their enthusiastic gestures as always, so, I also greeted ma'am as I entered the room. I joined the students as they cleaned the room while waiting for their first period to start.
After that, the first period class started with a prayer, followed by checking and asking the students about their weekends. Also, Ma'am did the distribution of forms for their 137, and checking of attendance right after. My CT continued discussing her lesson about Listening skills but today she discussed about the Strategies in Improving Your Listening Skills, she discussed the topic thoroughly and enthusiastically.
She called out students to have oral recitation but most called out students were misbehaving during the discussion. And she ended the class saying, "Pag study mo ha ky mag quiz ko tomorrow, labi naning mga gapa badlong. Goodbye!"
After that, we went to section Catleya for the second period. And what happened to Azalea, it happened to Catleya wherein few students were misbehaving during the discussion and some were very noisy and hardheaded. However, Ma'am did not allow to ruin her class because of the misbehaving students, she continued the discussion.
And ma'am ended the period in asking the students if there are still students who did not able to perform the reader's theater.
On the third period class, she let me take the listening discussion in order for me to practice my teaching demo. And I thanked God for that because indeed I have to be ready for my upcoming 1st teaching demonstration. Ma'am gave me time to study the lesson for 20 minutes before I go to the next class. After that, I went to section Begonia to start the class. I did my motivation before I start the lesson, this will be seen through my video above.
And I must say that they were enjoyed and energized with the motivation we did, and right after that I reviewed the topic that has been discussed last week, and it was just a normal discussion with them. In which I asked them to read the statement and I explained it briefly with their thoughts. Later on, I find myself enjoying the moment and somehow I felt the flattering of my heart, a beat for belongingness.
As I ended the third period, I immediately went straight to section Daffodil to continue my discussion. It went well but I forgot the time, instead of 11:45 I ended the class at 11:50 that's why the students were saying, "Ma'am, time na po."
And that's how I ended my 9th day duty early this morning. I will continue for my 10th day, afternoon duty.
Good afternoon, Diurna!
After the 11:45 class, Ma'am signed my DTR and went out to take my lunch. Furthermore, as we ate our lunch we shared our experiences earlier morning regarding on what did we do in order to fulfill our duty for today.
Others also were able to practice teaching their sections and were able to assess themselves on how they teach.
And I also shared my experience for today. With that, we went back to our room and wait for 12:45 for the first period class this afternoon. And I was still tasked to take over the discussion, after they write the suggestions for improving their listening skills, I discussed and I let them express their thoughts in every statement. Which one way to give them chance to participate and learn from their thoughts and thoughts from others.
It went well until we finished the discussion exactly the time ended.
To sum it up, my day was really productive and full of learning to be kept. Special thanks to Ma'am Elda J. Bigcas, my CT for the experience.
Goodnight, Diurna!
