Hello, Diurna! It's me and my second day duty against the world.
I woke up earlier than usual today since I am excited as I should be. As per advised by our little principal, ma'am Ann that we should be at school 7:00-7:20 am or else we will be marked late because every minute counts. So I did everything done before 6:50, rode my way to school and had signed my attendance before 7.
I stayed at our quarter in Teen Care as we were instructed by ma'am Debbie Makinano yesterday that we can consider this area as our quarter for the meantime, and at the same time I waited for my CT in my major, Mr. Cyril for any instructions before I go to Grade 8 and continue the reading session of the two sections since yesterday we finished the section Jasmine as sir helped me. And today sir allow me to take over the class and bid good luck and God bless for my journey with his students.
And also he reminded me to always impose myself with rules and authority aura as I enter the room so that students will follow and respect me at all times. And yes I did and will always do that so they would stay still and to always get their attention and focus but I also promise that I will not never be harsh and strict to them because I don't want them to feel down and hurt, but feel free and belong with my class. As long as I can I don't want them feel intimidated by me but respect me.
Right after my first class in Grade 8 I went straight to Grade 7-Lavender for my 9:45-10:45 class. And as I arrived there they told me that some of their classmates were still outside because it's their recess time and so I told them to enjoy first their recess, I was just early because their room is far from our quarter. I waited for 5 minutes before I let them get inside so that we can start our class. And right after that we continued the reading session and also I gave them seatwork so that they would behave while calling the names of those students who are not yet finished reading.
And so they behaved and focus themselves in doing their task. As they do their task and as I continue the reading most of them ask me what is the English of a certain word for their task and so I helped them. Teach them and help them learn is my priority and responsibility I only require them to have respect, listen, and at all time participate in my class. After that I remind them to get ready for tomorrow's class, and we took our lunch after.
As I waited for my class for this afternoon at 1:45-2:45 I took a short nap to ease my headache so that I can give my best for the section Jasmine. Since we are done yesterday for their Phil-IRI I just gave them the same task that I gave earlier. And as expected they asked for help on how to English certain word for them to finish the task, and so I helped them.
We just enjoyed the time while having that activity. As I checked their works I was sad to face the truth that most of them still does not know how to spelling or write sentences and paragraph rightly. With that as I checked their papers I also wrote my short comment for their writing and spelling.
As I finish my day, sir Cyril reminded me to take the first class for their quarter 3 module 1 tomorrow since he will be out to Nabunturan. He advised me also that he will check my lesson plan every Friday. With that, I prepared myself and the things needed for tomorrow.
