4/45 TEACHING INTERNSHIP

Always have the courage and happiness to teach everyday. 3/45 (February 23, 2023)

PS. I forgot to take a picture because I was so busy and nervous at the same time.

Hello, Diurna! Today is my first day to take over the class and to start the Quarter 3 Module 1 lesson for my 3 loads. Wish me luck! My CT is a Head Teacher in English and he is very busy, he is not supposed to have loads to teach but he has no choice because they lacked English teacher last time due to personal matter, and one teacher in English had retired already and take note she is one of the best teachers in English PNHS ever had, in the person of Mrs. Nancy D. Marzado she was also our English teacher way back grade 8. She was the English teacher of Grade 8- Garnet yet passed to sir Cyril before she took her retirement.

And so, sir Cyril is the head teacher of English department he passed his 3 loads to me for my major. Lucky knowing sir he is one of the most genuine and kind teacher I have ever known way back high school days, so is ma'am Arlene Flores– my CT for my minor subject.

Fast forward, I arrived at school 7:10 am and while waiting for the second period I prepared everything needed for my class from the visual aids, hand outs and ppts. I was both excited and nervous thinking how will going to be, if I will be effective when delivering lesson. Will they listen to me? Will I be good? All of that questions were planted in my mind. But I always tell myself that to do my best is the best– my motivation and word challenge.

I started my class at 8:30 for Grade8-Garnet and my lesson is all about Quarter 3- Module 1 Examining Biases. Thankfully that the students were attentive and we're listening the whole time, we already set and agreed 3 rules during our time so that they will be guided and aware. My discussion went smooth as they easily get the lesson with its corresponding examples and scenarios. And since we got no time, I told them that we will continue the discussion with activity tomorrow to further test their understanding. After Grade8-Garnet, I went straight to 7-Lavender for my 3rd period class. And our topic was all about Quarter 3- Module 1- Sequencing and Narrating Events in Personal or Factual Recounts. I discussed the topic carefully so that they can easily and surely understand the lesson, also I relate them to every scenario so they will be aware and understand. And just like Grade 8- Garnet, 7- Lavender were also behave and participative. So is 7-section Jasmine in my afternoon class.

Everything went smooth, tiring yet worth it. I got a productive day today and just like what I remind myself that to do my best today, I did it as I asked God for strength, knowledge, and wisdom for today's episode, and tomorrow again. Tomorrow I will continue the lesson with its activity to test their understanding of the lesson and also to test if I am effective. To end this blog, I would like to mentioned my two CTs in my minor and major for giving the trust and guidance. Today is productive and hopefully tomorrow too.
