12/45 TEACHING INTERNSHIP

“Education is the movement from darkness to light.” – Allan Bloom.

I arrived at school 7:10 am and while waiting for the second period I prepared everything needed for my class. However, after the discussion and activity given yesterday, today my Grade 8- Garnet performed their performance task for the Module 1- Examining Biases.

As given last last week, they were given groups and topic regarding the types of biases on how they will going to make a scenario out from their chosen type of biases. This will test their understanding from the last discussion. Thus, they have performed well and gave justice to the type they had picked. They did their best interpretating the topic, however they still need practice in order to develop and enhance their confidence upon performing. So I gave them my constructive sentiments and comments right after their performance.

Right after my first class in Grade 8 I went straight to Grade 7-Lavender for my 9:45-10:45 class. And as I arrived there they told me that some of their classmates were still outside because it's their recess time and so I told them to enjoy first their recess, I was just early because their room is far from our quarter. I waited for 5 minutes before I let them get inside so that we can start our class. We also had a group activity for my Grade 7, Lavender and Jasmine. Before this day will end, I'd like to mention here that we, our group for action research are nervous for tomorrow's final defense.

There are still need to be done in our manuscript and for our intervention. Hence, for us to at least give ourselves focus in completing the papers and ourselves, we have decided to ask for permission to our CTs that we will take a half-day duty tomorrow and we will be absent on Friday for the defense, although it will done online but still preparation is a must. Wish us luck, Diurna!
