Good day, Diurna! How are you? I'm back again to share my day with you.
Today I had another tiring day but all worth it. It's Wednesday but all of us in our quarter always say "Mag early retirement na ko oy. Kakapoy na ba." I guess with that given our experience for at least a weeks now I can say that jokes are half meant. Most of us had a short sleep because of making our lesson plans and instructional materials for our everyday class.
Fast forward, I arrived at school 7:10 am and while waiting for the second period I prepared everything needed for my class. However, after the discussion and activity given yesterday, today I will give them group activity to test their understanding from the last discussion. I already grouped them yesterday so that we can straight up our activity today. I told them to make a circle for their group and they can start doing their activity.
Right after my first class in Grade 8 I went straight to Grade 7-Lavender for my 9:45-10:45 class. And as I arrived there they told me that some of their classmates were still outside because it's their recess time and so I told them to enjoy first their recess, I was just early because their room is far from our quarter. I waited for 5 minutes before I let them get inside so that we can start our class.
We also had a group activity for my Grade 7, Lavender and Jasmine. I had them grouped themselves and told them to make a circle, I was the one reading the story for their convenience and on the middle of my reading Mr. Cyril Unggoy, my CT entered the room to observe how I handle my class. And I just did my best and so were the students in doing their activity. Same goes to section Jasmine, I read the story, they listened and did their activity correctly.
After my class, I went to the office of Mr. Cyril to ask him check my lesson plan. I'd like to mention that sir is very approachable and ready to guide me for my lesson plan and so giving learning. He also mentioned that to not be stressed and pressure myself. As he checked my lesson plan he told me to add rules on my lesson plan and to always align my activities to my objectives. And he mentioned that my lesson plan was good and that all the activities I wrote was aligned with the objectives, and he signed my lesson plan but I have to rewrite it for the things he mentioned to add. And so I thanked God for the knowledge and strength. I bid my thank you to sir and headed my way back to our quarter.
Tomorrow I will continue the lesson with its activity to test their understanding of the lesson and also to test if I am effective. To end this blog, I would like to mentioned my two CTs in my minor and major for giving the trust and guidance. Today is productive and hopefully tomorrow too.
